The Drama Triangle
An educational platform exploring the Karpman Drama Triangle — the psychological model of Victim, Persecutor and Rescuer roles in conflict.
About This Project
The Drama Triangle is an informational and self-awareness platform built around the Karpman Drama Triangle — a social model of human interaction first described by psychiatrist Stephen Karpman in 1968. The model identifies three dysfunctional roles people adopt during conflict: the Victim, the Persecutor, and the Rescuer.
The site helps individuals recognise these patterns in their relationships, workplaces and family dynamics — and provides practical guidance on how to step out of the triangle and into healthier, more empowered interactions. Content covers the origins of the model, how each role operates, the hidden payoffs of staying in the triangle, and strategies for breaking the cycle.
Designed as an accessible, plain-language resource for anyone curious about interpersonal dynamics, emotional intelligence or personal growth. Part of the SDA Projects portfolio at Shmarlo Digital Assets.
